Jai also rose to prominence in New York City nightlife when he launched his long-running Twisted Cabaret, a performance series that ran for three years at Club XL, one of the city’s most prominent hotspots.

In 2005, he created and performed “Jai Rodriguez: Xposed,” a one-night stage production. Rodriguez’s biography and battles to come out to his religious family, as well as his success on stage and on Queer Eye, are told in Xposed. During his Queer Eye hiatus, he joined the Broadway production of The Producers for three months, playing Carmen Ghia. In addition, he performed the character of Sabu in the 2005 film The Producers. Jai made a comeback on NBC’s Harry’s Law, ABC’s Detroit 187, and Days Of Our Lives in dramatic parts. On the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother, he plays Wayne Brady’s husband Tom.

Guest appearances on NBC’s Are You There Chelsea?, Fox’s Bones, and NBC’s Harry’s Law as transgender woman Amanda Knott are among her other credits. Furthermore, Jai starred as “Geoffrey” opposite Reba McEntire and Lily Tomlin in ABC’s comedy Malibu Country, making him the first male to gain recognition via a reality show to become a series regular on network television. Rodriguez is launching his career in music and honing his skills as a performer and a recording artist. In Los Angeles, Miami, San Diego, and New York, he has presented his one-man shows Xposed, My Truth, and Dirty Little Secrets. In the year 2002, he launched Monday Night Twisted Cabaret, his own musical cabaret program. He also appeared in Twisted Cabaret from 2004 to 2006. “Love Is Good,” his first song, was released in March 2003 by Eleven Productions. After that, he recorded his debut album for Airgo Records, which was released on October 4, 2007, with the first song, Broken.
