Jake Harris’ career began when he was in his early twenties, when he was serving his father on the vessel “Cornelia Marie,” and he was frequently featured in episodes of “Deadliest Catch,” a Discovery Channel documentary and reality show. The show included not only fishing but also real-life experiences and the relationships amongst the crew members on board. During the time he taped with Discovery Channel’s show, Jake’s father, Phil Harris, was in a lot of agony. Jake and his brother, Josh Harris, sought to work on the boat named “Cornelia Marie” after their father died, the same boat that his father had captained and run the show for years. However, after leaving the program in 2013, Jake and his brother, Josh, have been concentrating on taking over the coffee firm “Captian’s Reserve,” which their father, Phil Harris, created. His brother Josh has joined Captains Andy Hillstrand and Jonathan on a boat called “The Time Bandit,” and he is currently a member of a vessel titled “The Northwestern,” helmed by Captain Sig Hansen.
