Jarrett Stidham of the Raiders connects with Davante Adams for a 60-yard touchdown.
In his first career start, quarterback Jarrett Stidham looked like a nine-year veteran, firing a 60-yard touchdown ball to Davante Adams early in the third quarter Sunday.
The score put the Las Vegas Raiders up 24-14 over the San Francisco 49ers.
While waiting for Adams to break free downfield. Stidham was hit hard on the play by Talanoa Hufanga and Samson Ebukam. He appeared startled afterward, but he stood up and walked off the field on his own.
Sunday is Stidham’s 12th NFL appearance after being drafted in the fourth round by the New England Patriots out of Auburn in 2019. He took over for quarterback Derek Carr, who departed the team in a mutual choice following his benching on Wednesday.
Stidham was 3-for-3 for 108 yards and two touchdowns. And on passes launched 20 or more air yards downfield after the huge play. The 49ers’ defense has only allowed three such touchdowns all season entering the contest.
Touchdown? Touchdown. ?
