Feldman began her career while still pursuing a master’s degree at a daily weather magazine called Weather World. The publication was well-known throughout the state. She worked as a meteorologist at KMPH in Fresco, California, after graduation, and later as a weekend meteorologist for KFSN. Feldman quickly rose to the top of the station’s morning show news anchor ratings.
Feldman was promoted to WTVD in North Carolina after a few years of honing her forecasting and broadcasting skills. During her five years as a Chief Meteorologist at WTVD, she covered unusual weather events such as a tornado, ice storm, and several hurricanes.
She won three Emmy Awards in Atlanta, once for best weathercaster and twice for weather specialty reports.
