Joey “Jaws” Chestnut established the current world record earlier this month with  a score of 75. 84 hotdogs, according to James Smoliga, a sports medicine specialist at High Point University in North Carolina, is “the greatest conceivable limit for a Usain Bolt-type performance.”

Where is Joey Chestnut born?

Joey was born on November 25, 1983, in Vallejo, California, and now lives in San Jose, California. Joey Chestnut’s family is largely unknown. He was reared by his mother alone after his father abandoned him at the age of two. There is no evidence that he had siblings. His ethnicity is American-White and his nationality is American. • On 24 March 2008, Chestnut set a new record at The Big Texan Steak Ranch restaurant in Amarillo, Texas by eating a meal of 72-ounce ribeye steak, salad, baked potato, shrimp cocktail, and roll in just 8 minutes 52 seconds. On his show on KKLA, Frank Pastore, the previous record holder, congratulated Chestnut.

• In 2018, Chestnut competed in The Amazing Race 30 alongside fellow competitive eater Tim Janus. On July 4, Chestnut won his 11th title at Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest with a new record of 74 hot dogs.
