After Joe started losing his hearing as a youngster, the father and son team of John & Joe Bishop: Life After Deaf will set out on a journey to embrace their individual connections to deafness. John admitted to his Instagram followers that the intimate documentary was “the hardest piece of television I have ever created.” “It began out as a documentary about me learning sign language so that I could perform stand-up, but it morphed into a healing journey for me and my family, which we never planned and is still happening,” he said.
