Career

Marty joined Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison, and Jerry Lee Lewis on the 1985 recording of the Class of ’55 after following Johnny Cash to Memphis. His self-titled album, which was published on the label after this year and featured the song “Arlene,” which peaked at number 20 on the Billboard country charts, was released. He was given his first cover story in the 1986 article “Nashville’s New Hopes” in the Mid-South magazine.

Stuart moved back to Mississippi when Marty married Cindy Cash, where their marriage terminated in divorce in 1988. Stuart has the courage to try out as a vocalist once more after Roland White extends an invitation for him to re-join his band as their fiddler.
