He moved from channel to channel to gain experience and to build his resume; he also worked as a correspondent for Dateline NBC from 1992 to 1995.

Prior to joining Fox News Channel in 1996, Jon was the host of A Current Affair. He was the reporter who covered Osama Bin Laden’s death on May 1 and 2, 2011.
