On May 17, his older brother Nick Carter shared the devastating news on Twitter. In his initial tweet, he said, “I am heartbroken to share the news that our father, Robert, passed away last night.” Nick requested privacy from his followers and the media in his second tweet.

“You were never human to me, you were always my real life super hero.”

Bob requested that his remains be incinerated, and his ashes were dispersed along the Gulf Coast not far from Key West.

Bob, Kaden’s father, and his ex-wife Jane Carter had recently separated in 2004. Jane crashed through the window glass with a rock one night while Bob and Ginger were asleep in his Florida home.

After the event, Bob advised Ginger not to file charges against Jane, even though she was taken into custody and charged with violence.
