The Polish defender began his professional career as a loanee from WSP Wodzislaw Slaski with Silesia Lubomia. He joined Horadada in 2006. He grabbed the attention of Real Madrid officials while playing for Horadada, and in 2008, he joined their C team. On August 6, 2008, he agreed to a four-year deal with the Polish team Piast Gliwice after spending two seasons with the Spanish club. He played for the team in 54 games and netted two goals.

On July 7, 2010, he signed a five-year contract to play for the Italian team Palermo. He made his debut in the 2010–2011 season’s UEFA Europa playoff round against Slovenian club Maribor.
