As a Tribune Broadcasting intern in 2008, Davis started her career as a journalist. She started working as an anchor and reporter for Daily Iowan TV the same year. From 2008 to 2010, she worked for the Daily Iowan, where she co-anchored the daily news twice a week and gathered information for community reports.
