In Baltimore, Maryland, on May 13, 1958, Kevin Kilner was born. He initially had little interest in pursuing an acting profession. Instead, he attended John Hopkins University to earn a B.A. in Social and Behavioral Sciences. He participated in lacrosse while attending college for the Blue Jay squad, which won the NCAA National Lacrosse Championship three times.
He also received the “Unsung Hero Award” during the NCAA tournament in 1981. After graduating from college, Kilner started working as a commercial banker in Baltimore, first as a loan officer to Fortune 500 companies and then as a credit analyst. Among his clients were Perdue Chicken, Black & Decker, and Gannett News.
Later, he was employed by a mortgage banking company as the office manager. In 1985, he finally moved to New York to pursue a career as an actor.

Then, in 2008, 2009, and 2010, he appeared in Cashmere Mafia, Dollhouse, and In My Sleep. Then came House of Cards from 2013 to 2014, Paranoia in 2013, Madam Secretary in 2014, The Good Wife in 2015, NCIS in 2019, and Dynasty in 2021.
More recently, Kilner played Mr. Robers in the 2022 short film Polaroid and Barry Rosenthal in an episode of Acapulco from 2021.
