Some celebrities have fairly boring personal lives, whereas others have lives that are largely eventful for both good and bad reasons. For Lil Boosie, it was the latter, as he was constantly in the news for negative reasons throughout his life.
Despite a successful music career, the rapper’s personal life is riddled with unnecessary baggage from a number of incidents that he is not particularly proud of. However, he admits that his love life is something he has no regrets about.
What is Lil Boosie up to these days?
After surviving kidney cancer and seven years in prison, the 36-year-old rapper is spending quality time with his wife and their children.
Following his kidney cancer recovery, Boosie made an effort to spend as much time as possible with his family rather than being on tour the majority of the time.
In March 2018, the hip-hop artist shared a photo of his baby girl while they were shopping at Versace. He frequently takes photos of himself with his three sons and five daughters.
During the same month, Boosie attended his grandparents’ 70th wedding anniversary. Badazz has eight children from four different mothers, Walnita, Tracey, Trivia, and Gerlisa, whom he refers to as “baby mamas.”
The singer of Da Click: Street Kingz, who was arrested on April 8, 2019, has been released from exile after being sued on drug-related charges. Torrence Hatch Jr. claims his page “tweezybandoe” was hacked on September 22, 2019.
Lil Boosie’s Married Life – Multiple Children From Various Mothers
Walnita Decuir-Hatch is rumored to be Lil Boosie’s wife. He has eight children in total, but not all of them are with Walnita.
When the rapper had seven children from multiple mothers, he told Vlad TV that he wanted three more. He stated:
“I have seven [kids], but I’m trying to have three more. Yeah, I want ten kids. I always told my grandmother, ‘I’mma have ten kids,’ and I have some good sperm. If it drops on your arm, you’re pregnant…I’m three away.”
He went on to say:
“I want a pair of twins as well…I think I’m going to freeze my sperm, and when I find a girl, I’m going to make twins; I’m thinking about it, but right now I’m looking for someone to put a baby in; I just want somebody who’s willing to be a good mother.”
There are four mothers for Bossie’s children, one of whom is Walnita. Tracey, Trivia, and Gerlisa are the names of the other three. He refers to all of them as “baby mamas.”
Meanwhile, Boosie and Decuir are parents to three children: Iviona, Torrence Jr., and Tarlaysia.
Boosie gave his son Tootie aka Terrance Hatch Jr. a Jaguar truck for his 16th birthday in 2019.
When Music Stops, a book written by Walnita, was published in 2014. It appeared to be loosely based on her life.
Decuir wrote in the book about a character named Sherell Devore who began dating a rapper at the age of 14, only to be heartbroken later when she discovered he cheated on her.
Later that year, during an interview with DJ Vlad, Boosie revealed that he admired women who forgive their man even after he has cheated on them. He made a reference to Waka Flocka’s wife Tammy Rivera taking her man even after he had been unfaithful. He stated:
“Now I respect women who return to their men. I like that. See the girl who returned to her man. Waka Flocka old lady. See I respect that.”
He went on to say:
“With all of these people leaving and doing all of this, she goes back to her man.” Because she understands that it is bigger than that man. It’s a house, and it’s a family. I admire women who reconcile with their husbands after they have cheated on them.”
The four baby mamas collaborated the same year to launch their own reality show highlighting their lives and the unusual friendship they share.
Controversies, Conviction, and Cancer: Lil Boosie’s Eventful Life
Lil Boosie was arrested in 2009 for possession of marijuana and guns, and he later pleaded guilty to drug-laundering charges, serving five years in prison from 2009 to 2014.
The rapper’s arrest may have been a blessing in disguise, as he wrote numerous songs behind bars during his time in prison.
When Boosie was still in prison, he was quoted as saying:
I have about 500 songs right now, and I feel like I’m making the best music I’ve ever made; the more I go through in life, the better my music gets, and the last three years have been crazy.
He continued, saying:
“I keep my music heartfelt and focused on making genuine music.” It’s not even hip-hop music, in my opinion. My music is classified as’reality rap.’ Hip-hop music can make you dance and bob your head, but it cannot make you cry or touch your heart in the same way that reality rap can.”
The rapper was released on March 5, 2014, and immediately changed his name from Lil Boosie to Boosie Badazz.
Unfortunately for Badazz, he was soon embroiled in another controversy, claiming that his bank account had been hacked and that half a million dollars had been stolen.
The cops tracked down the perpetrator, only to discover that it was none other than his own brother, Taquari Hatch, and no charges were filed as a result.
Just when you thought things were looking up in Boosie’s life, he received another setback when he learned he had kidney cancer. The rapper announced his diagnosis on Instagram, with the caption:
“I’m asking all of my fans to pray for me. The doctor just told me I have kidney cancer; prayer is powerful, so I’m informing the world, prayfaboosie.”
The post was later removed. Fortunately for the rapper, he overcame the battle with chemotherapy, a nephrectomy, and numerous medications, and in December 2015, Badazz revealed he was cancer-free.
Previously, Boosie was charged with first-degree murder in the death of Terry Floyd, and if convicted, he could have faced the death penalty. Furthermore, the prosecutor stated that Boosie may have been involved in at least five murders.
On June 28, 2010, the rapper entered a not-guilty plea in a Louisana courtroom, and he was eventually classified as not a murderer.
