Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, has died. She was 54 years old.
According to NBC News, Lisa Marie Presley , the singer died on January 12 as a result of a medical issue.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must deliver the devastating news that my darling daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” Priscilla Presley said in a statement. “She was the most passionate, strong, and loving woman I’d ever met. We want privacy as we attempt to cope with this tragic loss. Thank you for your support and prayers. There will be no additional remark at this time.”
NBC News reported earlier that day that the Los Angeles County Fire Department and deputies from the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station got a complaint about a woman who was not breathing near the 5900 block of Normandy Drive in Calabasas.
Officials verified to NBC News that they treated the woman at her house before transporting her to a local hospital in an ambulance.
Priscilla Presley posted on Facebook about Lisa Marie Presley’s medical issue, asking for prayers for her daughter and family. She also stated that her daughter was “getting the best care.”

“My dear daughter Lisa Marie was transported to the hospital,” stated the 77-year-old actor on January 12. “We are aware of the prayers from around the world and need privacy during this time.”
Lisa Marie Presley was a musician who released three albums in her career, beginning with her breakthrough pop rock release “To Whom It May Concern” in 2003.
“Storm & Grace,” her final album, was released in May 2012.
Lisa Marie Presley, born in Memphis, Tennessee, was just nine years old when her father died in 1977. She was Elvis and Priscilla Presley’s sole child, making her an heir to his estate.
Her most recent public appearance was on Jan. 10 at the Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles. Austin Butler, who played the “Suspicious Minds” singer in Baz Luhrmann’s 2022 musical drama, won a Golden Globe for best actor in a drama, motion picture for his performance.

Lisa Marie Presley had already praised on social media about Butler’s performance. She and her family also attended private screenings of the movie, including one at Graceland.
She returned to Instagram in May 2022 to discuss the film after taking a sabbatical from the public spotlight after her son, Benjamin Presley, died by suicide at the age of 27 in 2020.
“I do want to take a moment to let you know that I have seen Baz Luhrmann’s movie ‘Elvis’ twice now, and let me tell you that it is nothing short of spectacular. Absolutely exquisite,” she said at the time.”
She added, “Austin Butler channeled and embodied my father’s heart and soul beautifully.
“In my honest opinion, his performance is unprecedented and, for the first time, done accurately and respectfully. (If he doesn’t get an Oscar for this, I’m going to eat my own foot.)”
Lisa Marie Presley claimed she was “brought to tears” when she watched her three children — Riley Keough, 33, and twins Harper and Finley, 14 — see a movie depicting their grandfather.
“All 3 visibly overwhelmed in the best way possible way, and so filled with pride about their grandfather and his legacy in a way that I have not previously experienced. It breaks my heart that my son isn’t here to see it. He would have absolutely loved it as well,” she wrote.
A few months later, she wrote a heartbreaking guest post for People in which she opened up about her son’s death.
In honor of National Grief Awareness Day, Lisa Marie Presley described how she has “been living in the horrible truth” of her son’s death in order to help those who are grieving.

“Grief is something you will have to carry with you for the rest of your life, regardless of what certain individuals or our culture would have us believe,” she said. “You don’t ‘get over it,’ you don’t’move on.'”
“Nothing, absolutely NOTHING, takes away the anguish,” she continued, “but finding support can sometimes help you feel a little less alone.”
Lisa Marie Presley has Riley and Benjamin with ex-husband Danny Keough, as well as twin girls with ex-husband Michael Lockwood. She also had relationships with Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage.
