Lola Van Wagenen, a historian, has been married to her husband George Burrill since the early 2000s. Wagenen, however, is not her first marriage; she was previously married to Hollywood legend, Robert Redford.
In fact, Lola Van Wagenen is well-known for her marriage to The Sting actor Robert Redford, who played Johnny Hooker in the film. Despite the fact that Lola and Robert had been married for over two decades, it wasn’t meant to be for them. Miss Wagenen, on the other hand, has been happily married to her second husband, George Burrill, for nearly two decades.

Having a common passion in history grew Lola Van Wagenen and her second husband closer and faster. Mr. Burrill is a New Zealander who served as Vermont’s Honorary Consul. He also led the Burlington-based Associates in Rural Development, Seven Days TV said.
On July 27, 2002, in Shelburne, Vermont, Van Wagenen married Burrill again. Despite their long-term marriage, Lola and George never had children. It’s also harder to get information about the historian now that she’s no longer married to Redford, the father of her four children.
After their eldest child, Scott Anthony Redford, died at 47 days of sudden infant death syndrome, Van Wagenen and Redford raised three children. Except for a few early tragedies, Lola’s three children are still alive and well.
The second son was born seven weeks early.
A year after Scott’s death, Lola Van Wagenen and Robert Redford welcomed their second child, a daughter named Shauna Redford, who was followed by their third child, a son named James Redford, and their youngest child, Amy Redford.
Lola had a difficult time giving birth to James because she went into labor seven weeks before his due date. As he grew older, his illness became more dangerous, necessitating two liver transplant surgeries and the removal of his colon. Not to mention that James suffered from ulcerative colitis, an IBD disease, during his adolescence.
The Redford family faced some serious challenges in their lives because James’ son, Dylan Redford, suffers from a physical inability condition known as Dyslexia. James, who followed in his father’s footsteps, directed The Big Picture, a documentary about dyslexic people.
Van Wagenen’s daughter’s college sweetheart was killed by a gunshot.
Just like her ex-husband said, Redford once disclosed his family’s traumas, saying that it was not appropriate to do so in public. Similarly, Shauna, his eldest daughter, attended the University of Colorado, where his father had studied but dropped out.
Shauna and her then-boyfriend, Sid Wells, lived in an apartment near college rented by Wells’ parents. But in 1983, Sid’s body was found shot to death at their temporary campus residence. The Lola and Redford’s daughter dropped out of college.
Shauna is married to writer and novelist Eric Schlosser. Son Conor Schlosser and daughter Mica Schlosser are the couple’s offspring.
Amy, on the other side, has worked on films including The Guitar, Cry Funny Happy, and This Revolution.
Lola, who keeps a low profile, is still friends with Robert, whom she split up with in the late 1970s but didn’t divorce until 1985. In 2009, Mr. Redford married Sibylle Szaggars, a German environmental artist.
