Sandhya Gurung later coached her as well.
Lovlina Borgohain was able to compete in both the junior and senior national boxing competitions after being trained by coach Podum Boro. Similarly, as her boxing career progressed toward the international stage, she came under the tutelage of Shiv Singh, the chief coach of women’s boxing.
The highlight of Lovlina Borgohain’s career came when she competed in the welterweight boxing category at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Her announcement sparked debate because she had received no official notification of her selection.
