In October 2018, the Knicks forward and girlfriend Amber Soulds welcomed their first child, a son named Thomas Morris Jr. They’ve been dating for a long time and have already started a family.

Marcus Morris was born on September 2, 1989, in Philadelphia, to a single mother, Thomasine Morris. The former Celtics forward grew up with a twin brother, Markieff, and three other brothers, Blake, David, and Donte.

Marcus’s life was difficult because he came from a large family with only one breadwinner. He excelled in the sport of basketball in order to assist her mother.

Rival.com rated him a four-star prospect while he was competing at the high school level for APEX Academy in Pennsauken. Soon after, he joined the University of Kansas Jayhawks in college competition.

The 30-year-old was named Big 12 Player of the Year in 2010-11 during his time there. In 2011, the same Houston Rockets selected him to play in the NBA.
