Growing up, Mark Wales dreamed of joining the Australian military. Mark enrolled at the Australian Defence Force Academy after graduating from high school and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science and history in 1999. In this way, Mark officially joined the Australian army in January 2019. Throughout the course of his thirteen and a half-year SAS career, Mark has led thirty elite soldiers in Afghan combat.
