Max Keiser is an American financial commentator, and broadcaster who hosts the Keiser Report. The show airs on RT and features unconventional economic theories. He also co-hosts Double Down on Radio Sputnik, hosts The Truth About Markets on London’s Resonance 104.4 FM, and writes for the Huffington Post.

Max Keiser was born in New Rochelle, New York, on January 23, 1960. He is a New York University graduate. Keiser worked in a variety of fields before settling into finance and broadcasting. He worked extensively on radio, was a stand-up comedian, a Broadway street magician, and a part-time stockbroker. Keiser had also spent a decade in France writing screenplays. He founded, co-founded, and served as CEO of the Hollywood Stock Exchange. Keiser then co-created Virtual Specialist, a platform for virtually operating the Hollywood Stock Exchange.

Keiser began his career as a presenter by hosting NBC’s Rumble At The Box Office. He then went on to produce and host a number of shows, including Buy, Sell, Holds, Al-Jazeera documentary films, The Oracle, and On the Edge, among many others.

Keiser has also worked as a financial activist, speaking out against financial crimes and scandals. He established Karmabanque, a hedge fund that aimed to short-sell companies while directing profits to environmental and ethical business organizations.

Keiser was a key figure in the CIA’s prosecution, revealing an illegal practice by the organization that resulted in an Egyptian citizen being kidnapped and tortured in Cairo. In November 2010, Keiser accused JPMorgan Chase of manipulating the price of silver. He urged people to buy silver bullion, a move that would have left JP Morgan bankrupt.
