Breeding (2007) and Simon (2009) were the band’s two extended plays before their sole self-titled album was released in 2010, and they split up in 2012.
Chris Fehn, a longtime member of Slipknot, was let go in March 2019 after filing a lawsuit against the band. Pfaff was immediately approached by Crahan while at his day job about maybe taking over for Fehn, and he agreed.
Soon after the band started filming the music video for “Unsainted,” the lead single from their sixth studio album We Are Not Your Kind, which was released on August 9, 2019, he began playing the drums. Because of the way his mask looked, Pfaff was quickly dubbed “Tortilla Man” by fans.
This nickname stuck for him until the band finally revealed his identity in March 2022. Additionally, he was initially included as a touring member, but when the group entered the studio to record The End, So Far, their seventh studio album, he was formally welcomed as a full-time member.
