When Dusty was in his 60s, he began to have kidney problems, which eventually led to kidney failure. Unfortunately, paramedics were called to Dusty’s house in Florida on June 10, 2015, after receiving a call that he had collapsed.

They transported him to the hospital right away, where he died the next day at the age of 69. After his death, he was cremated, and his son spread his ashes on Dusty’s beloved property.

A ten-bell salute was offered following his passing during the 2015 Money in the Bank pay-per-view event. The entire WWE roster, as well as the McMahon family, joined in the honor.
