The pair married quietly at Singapore’s Registry of Marriages. The couple’s wedding was attended by only their immediate family members. Lee Hsien Loong’s paternal grandparents were also present.
Later that year, in 1980, the couple gave birth to their first child, a daughter named Li Xiuqi. On October 7, 1982, the couple welcomed their son Li Yipeng. Wang’s second child was born with Asperger’s Syndrome, which was complicated by Albinism.

She was then transferred to Singapore General Hospital’s Coronary Care Unit. Sadly, she died at 12.30 a.m. Myocardial infarction is the precise cause of death.
Wong Ming Yang’s family chose to give her corneas to patients in need of cornea transplants after her death. On the same day that Wong died, Yeo Buck Hock and Low Thoe Guan got Wong’s donated corneas.
