From 1976 to 1979, Steve McMichael was a defensive tackle for the Texas Longhorns, where he was a consensus first-team All-American and the defensive MVP of the Hula Bowl in 1979.
On July 17, 2010, Steve was also inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. The New England Patriots drafted him out of Texas in 1980, but he was released before his second season.
