Mo Rocca, a Harvard University graduate with a degree in Literature, was born in Washington, D.C., on January 28, 1969. His father is Italian-American and his mother is Colombian, hence he is of mixed heritage.

Larry Rocca, a sports reporter for Newsday, and Frank Rocca, a cast member of “The Francis Effect,” were his two brothers.

Rocco began his acting career in 1993 when he performed in the Southeast Asia tour of the musical Grease. He worked for Paper Mill Playhouse’s South Pacific a year later.
