American broadcast meteorologist and weather reporter Monica Cryan. She currently makes an appearance on the Greater Philadelphia area local news station PHL17.

In October 2018, Cryan joined the PHL17 news staff. Prior to that, from October 2016 to October 2018, she worked as a freelance meteorologist for Fox 29 Philadelphia for around two years. Additionally, she worked with the American Red Cross Eastern Pennsylvania Region for about a year as their communications manager while simultaneously working at Fox 29.

Cryan began her career in media in November 2010, working as a broadcast meteorologist and reporter at the Midland, Texas-based ABC affiliate KMID-TV. After spending eight months there, she relocated to KRBC-TV in June 2011 and subsequently, in January 2013, to WSFA 12 News.

She previously worked as a meteorologist for several American news outlets, including WeatherNation from October 2015 to September 2016 and NBC Connecticut from June 2014 to August 2015. Cryan received the “Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal” from the American Meteorological Society in recognition of her work in the weather forecasting division.

In 2021, PHL17 News commemorated Cryan’s birthday. On July 1, 2021, Cryan’s news team surprised her with a pre-birthday celebration for a segment that would run on PHL17 Morning News.
