He is best known as the presenter of “The Montel Williams Program,” a phenomenally popular talk show. The show aired for 17 seasons from 1991 to 2008, totaling 4325 episodes. In 1996, he won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Talk Show Host for his efforts on the show. Montel has also worked as an actor in a number of films. He participated in three episodes of the TV show “JAG,” a courtroom drama. In 1996, he starred in and produced the drama television series “Matt Waters.” He starred in the action film “The Peacekeeper” the next year, in 1997. In 2019, he made his most recent appearance in an episode of the drama series “The Resident.”
