Nikolina Konstantinova Dobreva, better known as Nina Dobrev, is a Bulgarian actress who was born in Sofia, Bulgaria on January 9, 1989. She is currently based in Los Angeles, California. Her acting career began with the drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation, but she rose to prominence after portraying Elena Gilbert in The CW’s supernatural drama series The Vampire Diaries. Dobrev has also appeared in films such as The Perks of Being a Wallflower in 2012, Let’s Be Cops in 2014, The Final Girls in 2015, xXX: Return of Xander Cage in 2017 and Flatliners in 2017.
