Hutton told Southern Living that the idea for the new film came to her while she was drinking coffee. She recalled the incident and stated that she wanted to do something new and different than what she usually portrays, while Smith suggested playing the polar opposite of Hutton’s character.

“I’d like to play the polar opposite of that. I’d like to play a risk-averse character. Likes to plan ahead of time. Likes to be in command. She prefers to work behind the scenes.”

Family Matters: Nick Cokas Wife, and Children

The actress was given the opportunity to speak about her family. Hutton also discussed her life priorities, and while she agreed that she loved her job, she insisted that she loved her family even more.

“It’s difficult because you want to work. I hope you enjoy your work as much as I do. My work is something I am very passionate about. But, obviously, your heart is always with your children, so I feel that pull.”

The actress also discussed how, with the help of her husband and nanny, she managed to strike a delicate balance between work and family life. They were described as an “incredible support network that helps maintain the balance of our household when things get crazy.”

She discussed how her own life was a major inspiration for making so much time for her children. She stated, ”

“I used to travel a lot more for work before I had kids. Now, if a job in Vancouver becomes available, it is automatically more appealing to me than one in another city because your children rely on you. They require YOUR assistance. There is no replacement for you. There is no replacement for your time, presence, and love. The most important thing is to be at home and present with them.”

She also mentioned how her parents were very busy when she was a child, both being school teachers, and how having children changed her career choices.
