According to a 1996 interview that published in North’s hometown newspaper The Daily News, North said that he was “discovered” in the early 1980s while operating sports equipment for a private party in Los Angeles. Gallo provided assistance in the form of “Speedy,” a “tattooed Nazi drug dealer.” North attacked Gallo and Speedy, threatening them with severe physical harm to his face and genitalia. Gallo claims that in the heat of the moment, he allegedly reached for a knife in his pocket, but Speedy stopped him from using it.
