On October 15, 1945, in Mumbai, Ravindra was born. He was also raised by five older siblings and supported his family by selling lottery tickets. Participating in stage shows during the Girgaon Ganesh festival celebrations sparked Ravindra’s passion in performing. In dramatic competitions between schools and colleges, he won awards. His mother’s name was Shantabai Berde, and his father was Ramchandra Berde. Laxmikant Berde, a well-known actor and comedian, is one of his five older siblings. Laxmikant and Ravindra were good friends who worked together on a number of projects.
Professional life and Career:
Before going on to the big screen, he also started his acting career in theater productions. In the 1985 motion picture “Vahinichi Maya,” he also made his screen debut as Dinu Deshmukh, the main character. In the well-known Marathi comic horror film “Zapatlela,” starring also his brother Laxmikant Berde, he played Hawaldar Tukaram (Tukya) in 1993. He has also acted in a number of Marathi movies, such as “Houn Jau De” (2009), “Hamal De Dhamaal” (1989), “Ek Gadi Baki Anadi” (1988), and “Hach Sunbaicha Bhau” (1992).
