For four years following the appearance of his store on Insomniac with Dave Attell in 2003, Harrison advocated the idea of a reality show about pawn shops. Nancy Dubuc of the History Channel changed the format to include specialists evaluating artifacts and focusing on the personnel and customers of the mart.
