India cricket star Rishabh Pant injured in car accident

Pant’s automobile collided with a divider and caught fire in the early hours of Friday, according to CNN affiliate CNN News-18, citing authorities.

The India cricketer Rishabh Pant was in a stable condition on Friday after suffering multiple injuries when his car hit a central divider, flipped over and caught fire in the early hours of the morning.
The wicketkeeper-batsman, who was alone in the car when it crashed between Mangalaur and Nursan. That is near his hometown of Roorkee in the northern state of Uttarakhand. Where he had lost control of the vehicle when he “dozed off,” according to police.
“Pant was injured on his forehead, hand, and right knee. However, he is cognizant and able to communicate,” Supt. Swapn Kishor Singh was cited as saying in a Times of India report. “He was driving a completely burned-out automobile. He is fortunate to have survived the horrific accident.”

The wicket-keeper batsman is “stable and undergoing scans,” according to Jay Shah, secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
“My thoughts and prayers are with Rishabh Pant as he battles his way back to health,” Shah wrote on Twitter. “We are actively watching his progress and will provide him with any assistance he requires.”
Pant has “two wounds on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee, and has also injured his right wrist, ankle, toe, and has received abrasion injuries on his back,” according to a BCCI statement.
Pant is one of India’s rising stars, and he was just designated the brand ambassador for his native state of Uttarakhand, according to CNN News-18.

A popular Indian cricket analyst, Harsha Bhogle, stated he was “desperately hoping he is healthy and recovers quickly.”
