When it comes to her family, her father is retired Master Sergeant Jack Varon of the United States Air Force and Air National Guard.

Roz’s crazy and boisterous zest for life is inherited from her father. On the other hand, she is influenced by her mother, Bea Varon, in terms of essential practical traits.

Roz Varon married Glenn Kedzie in November 2005 at a gala reception at Marshall Field, which was accompanied by the Allan Kaye Orchestra. The couple went to Hawaii for their honeymoon after the wedding.

Since then, the couple has celebrated a decade of marriage and has a daughter named Sara Kedzie.

But, just as her step-son had to fight his pain and adversity, Roz had to fight her own fears for a long time.

Roz discovered a lump under her arm in the summer of 2006. She knew it was a tumor the moment she saw it, but it was difficult for her to accept the reality.

But it was the thought of her 10-year-old daughter growing up without a mother that scared her the most when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Not the chemo or her own mortality.

Her fear, however, turned into strength to fight cancer, which she did. Her love for her daughter bestowed upon her a power she was unaware of.

Roz proved to be a fighter and a warrior, triumphing over breast cancer. She is a wonderful mother and a wonderful wife.

And now she lives her life with her beautiful family, savoring every moment with them to the fullest.
