Sandeep Singh made his international debut in the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Kuala Lumpur in January 2004. In the same year, he made his Olympic debut in Athens, Greece, in the Summer Olympics. He then went on to score 16 goals in the Junior Asia Cup Hockey tournament in Pakistan. Sandeep was also the leading scorer of the tournament.
