Shelia Eddy’s parents are Greg Eddy and Tara Clendenen. She, too, is a single kid to them. Shelia, a young woman, was involved in a sad occurrence on July 6, 2012.
Skylar Neese, a 16-year-old girl, was murdered in the incident by Shelia Eddy and her high school closest friend Rachel Shoaf. On September 4, 2013, West Virginia prosecutors publicly named Shelia as the second alleged perpetrator in the case.
On September 6, 2013, a grand jury indicted her on one crime of kidnapping, one count of first-degree murder, and one count of conspiracy to murder.
As part of an arrangement with prosecutors, she pled guilty to first-degree murder, acknowledging her role in Skylar’s tragic death. Shelia is also incarcerated at the Lakin Correctional Center in Mason County, West Virginia.

Dateline: Meet Shelia Eddy Parents Greg Eddy And Tara Clendenen
Shelia comes from a family that includes her mother Tara Clendenen and father Greg Eddy. She grew up as an only child in Blacksville, West Virginia, where she was born on September 28, 1995. Similarly, Shelia Eddy’s parents divorced in 2000.
Tara moved to Morgantown, West Virginia, with her new husband, Jim Clendenen, in October 2010 after their divorce.
She began attending University High School around this period.
However, tragedy struck in July 2012, when she and her pals murdered Nesse. Tara’s mother Tara filed a motion in Monongalia County Circuit Court in response to the horrible crime, claiming her innocence and no involvement for the murder.
In 2014, the victim’s mother, Mary Neese, filed a lawsuit against Rachel Shoaf, Shelia, Patricia Shoaf (Rachel’s mother), Tara, and others.
Tara contended in her defense that she could not be held guilty because she did not have control over her daughter on the night of the murder, when Shelia stayed at the Shoaf residence.
Clendenen further mentioned that Mary Neese publicly stated on social media that she does not hold Eddy’s parents responsible for their daughter’s behavior.
Religion and ethnicity of Shelia Eddy
Eddy’s religious beliefs and ethnicity remain a mystery, as these data are withheld. While specific details about her life are unclear, the murder case has received a lot of attention.
Skylar Neese, a high school classmate of Eddy and Rachel Shoaf, was the victim of a heinous crime committed by her putative friends. In January 2013, Neese’s lifeless body was discovered in Wayne Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania.
Shoaf confessed to authorities about her involvement in Neese’s murder in December 2012.
She disclosed a terrifying plot she co-directed with Shelia. According to court records, Shoaf described how she and a companion enticed Neese into Eddy’s car and drove to Pennsylvania to engage in social activities.
Shoaf and Eddy ruthlessly stabbed Skylar to death at a set time.
They then attempted, but failed, to bury her body, burying her under branches in a nearby ditch.
Shoaf confessed to authorities seven months later, leading them back to the crime scene where Neese’s remains were eventually located.
Siblings of Shelia Eddy
Shelia Eddy’s parents are the parents of a single child. She is the only sibling she has. Following the tragedy, Sarah and her best friend, Rachel, were forced to face the repercussions of their horrible crime.
She pleaded guilty to first-degree murder on January 24, 2014. She was sentenced to life in jail with the chance of parole after 15 years. Her buddy Rachel, on the other hand, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder on May 1, 2013.
She was also sentenced to 30 years in prison, with the possibility of parole after a decade. Shoaf confessed to plotting Skylar’s murder alongside Eddy, which marked a turning point in the case.
They didn’t like Nesse and didn’t want to be friends with her longer, so they killed her.
