He returned to WCBS on August 24, 1992, after taking a sabbatical, for the first time with his father, Dr. Frank Field. WCBS filmed multiple advertising with Storm and Frank Field in advance of his debut, making fun of both meteorologists’ names.
Storm Field’s third and final weather position was at WWOR in 1997, when he was the station’s chief meteorologist and reported on the 10 p.m. show. Dr. Frank Field was hired by WWOR as a weekend weathercaster in the early 2000s, just before retirement, giving his son a second chance to work with him.
