Death of Tafari Campbell

On July 24, 2023, Tafari Campbell lost her life in a paddle boarding accident close to the Obamas’ residence on Martha’s Vineyard, a wealthy island community off the coast of Massachusetts. It was then that he turned forty-five. Paddle boarding on the Edgartown Great Pond, he slid underneath and did not come out, according to the Massachusetts State Police. He was not wearing a life jacket. The authorities located him about 30 meters off the coast and 2.4 meters underwater using sonar. There, the site declared him dead. The Obamas sent their condolences to his wife and boys in a joint statement on Monday, despite the fact that they were also  not present when the incident occurred.
