After three tryouts, she was chosen for the 1984 film over Heather O’Rourke.After the movie was finished, she decided to focus on professional dancing instead of acting and joined the Neta dancing Company. Her own dance company, Tami Stronach Dance, was established in 2000.
She also founded the family-friendly performing arts company Paper Canoe. In 2002, she started performing again by joining a physical theater troupe. She performed in Chambre at the La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club in 2006. She co-founded the Shoehorn Theater in the early 2010s and authored a play titled Light: A Dark Comedy.She not only performs but also lectures in New York City.
