How much was the Taylor Hawkins’s Net Worth ?

At the time of his passing in March 2022, American musician Taylor Hawkins had a $40 million dollar net worth. Tragically, Taylor passed away on March 25, 2022, at the age of 50.

After accompanying Alannis Morrisette on her 1997 Can’t Not Tour in support of her critically acclaimed album Jagged Little Pill, Taylor Hawkins joined the rock group Foo Fighters as their drummer. Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders was his side musical endeavor.

Taylor Hawkins’s Early life and Childhood

Texas’s Fort Worth was the place of Oliver Taylor Hawkins’ birth on February 17, 1972. His family moved to Laguna Beach, California, in 1976. Jason and Heather Hawkins are Hawkins’ two siblings. He went to Laguna Beach High School. He was greatly influenced by Stewart Copeland of the Police and a huge Roger Taylor and Jane’s Addiction fan when he was a teenager.

Hawkins knew Yes’ current singer, Jon Davison, from their youth. The best group they were in together was the cover band Heavy Industry, and they had known each other since they were little. The band performed at a wedding as well as high school dances. After their high school years playing in Heavy Industry, Hawkins and Davison’s paths parted ways.

Hawkins has played in a number of awful bands that, in his words, “tried to sound like Jane’s Addiction.” He joined the avant-garde group Sylvia, but he afterwards joined Sass Jordan as their drummer. Then he left Sass Jordan to go on tour with Alanis Morissette.

TayloR Hawkins- Career with Alanis Morissette

On her “Can’t Not” tour in 1995 and 1996, Canadian musician Alanis Morissette used Hawkins as her drummer. He had an appearance in several of Alanis Morissette’s music videos, such as “You Learn,” “You Oughta Know,” and “All I Really Want.” Before receiving the crucial contact from Dave Grohl, Hawkins spent 18 months performing for Alanis Morissette.

The Color and the Shape, the group’s second album, was recorded in the Foo Fighters’ recording facility in 1996. Dave Grohl and the drummer at the time, William Goldsmith, got into an argument when the album was being recorded. Grohl fully re-recorded the album with Grohl on drums after hearing Goldsmith’s drum sounds.

As a result, Goldsmith left the group. Grohl called Taylor Hawkins to ask whether he knew of any drummers. Grohl had no idea that Hawkins would leave her tour with Alanis Morissette—at the time, she was the biggest name in rock—to join Foo Fighters. He was shocked to hear Hawkins’ declaration that he wanted the job. On March 18, 1997, Taylor Hawkins formally became a member of the Foo Fighters.

A career with The Foo Fighters

Ironically (see what we did there?) Alanis Morissette foresaw Hawkins’ next move. They met the Foo Fighters while they were on tour in support of her massively successful album Jagged Little Pill. After that, she informed Hawkins, “Dave’s going to invite you to join them eventually.” Before Grohl called Hawkins, that year had passed.

The Foo Fighters performed in clubs or served as openers for bigger, more well-known acts like the Red Hot Chili Peppers in early 1997 while they were still comparatively unknown. In 2008, the Foo Fighters, one of the largest rock bands, sold out Wembley Stadium in London for not just one but two nights, performing to an average of 86,000 fans per night. Fast forward 23 years.

Hawkins performs as a rock singer as well. He can play the piano and guitar, too. His first lead vocal performance with the Foo Fighters was on a cover of Pink Floyd’s “Have a Cigar.” On the In Your Honor song “Cold Day in the Sun,” he provided the lead vocals. He most recently sang the lead vocals for the Foo Fighters’ 2017 song “Sunday Rain” from the album Concrete and Gold.

Hawkins sings lead vocals on at least one cover song throughout many Foo Fighters live performances. Additionally, he contributes to the band’s songwriting. There have only ever been two lead vocalists for the Foo Fighters: Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins.

Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders, Hawkins’ side project, put out a self-titled LP in 2006.

Hawkins performed with Roger Taylor of Queen and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers as part of the SOS Allstars at Live Earth in 2007.

Hawkins appears on Slash’s 2010 solo album Slash. On the Ozzy Osbourne-assisted song “Crucify the Dead,” he sang background vocals.

Hawkins was a member of the cover band Chevy Metal, which performed obscure songs by ZZ Top, Aerosmith, Deep Purple, Van Halen, Queen, and Black Sabbath when the Foo Fighters were on hiatus. County fairs and pizza joints in the Los Angeles vicinity continue to host Chevy Metal performances. Chris Shiflett, a former bandmate of the Foo Fighters, now plays guitar with Chevy Metal, and Dave Grohl occasionally joins them.

There is Nothing Left to Lose (1999), One by One (2002), In Your Honor (2005), Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace (2007), Wasting Light (2011), Sonic Highways (2014), Saint Cecilia (2015), and Concrete and Gold are the eight albums Hawkins has worked on with the Foo Fighters to date (2017).

Additionally, Hawkins appeared in the documentaries Back and Forth, Sound City, and the HBO series Sonic Highways, which was a companion piece to the same-titled album by the Foo Fighters.

Get the Monkey, the most current album by Hawkins’ band Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders, was released in November 2019. LeAnn Rimes contributes to the song “C U In Hell” as a guest vocalist, among other singers. The children of Rimes and Hawkins attend the same school and reside in the same neighborhood.

One day, he asked her if she would want to sing on the “psychedelic stoner rock tune” he was writing for the upcoming album. He was shocked to hear her answer “yes.” According to reports, Rimes sang the song while lying on the studio floor. One of Taylor’s favorite bands from high school, Jane’s Addiction’s Perry Farrell, also contributes vocals to the record. During “I Really Blue It,” Farrell sings.

It begs the question of whether the drummer for one of the most well-known rock bands was really just a disgruntled vocalist given Hawkins’ numerous side ventures, especially those in which he serves as the frontman. Regarding his most recent record, he stated in an interview: “Am I a frustrated frontman? On a certain level, yes.

Taylor Hawkins- Personal Life

From 2005 until his passing in 2022, Hawkins was wed to Alison Hawkins. Oliver, Annabelle, and Everleigh are their 3 kids. Nearby Dave Grohl’s residence in Encino, California, is where the Hawkins family calls home.

In 2001, Hawkins overdosed on heroin and fell into a two-week coma. He explained that he wasn’t an addict or a junkie after the incident, simply that he had been partying a lot.

Hawkins received a call from his mother in 2005, informing him that a member of Guns N’ Roses had called to ask for him while he was performing with the Foo Fighters in London in support of There Is Nothing Left To Lose. It comes out that Axl Rose was researching people while attempting to put together a new lineup for Guns N Roses. Hawkins was invited to attend the tryouts. Hawkins contacted Roger Taylor at Queen for guidance. I see you and Dave up there, and there’s something you can’t buy there, he remarked. There may be a connection between you two that Axl Rose and I lack. Hawkins gave the advice of his former idol and friend some thought before sticking with Foo Fighters.

Real Estate of Taylor Hawkins

According to public records, Hawkins paid $585,000 for a 2,728 square foot, four-bedroom, three-bathroom house in Topanga Canyon, California, in May 2000. MTV Cribs showcased this house. Due of their need for a larger home, Hawkins and his wife sold their residence and relocated.

Hawkins paid $2.7 million for a home in Hidden Hills in 2012. The guest home and 7,000 square foot main house are situated on over an acre of land at the end of a cul-de-sac. The house has five en suite bedrooms, two master suites, two master bedrooms, and a large granite fireplace in the living area. A swimming pool with a Jacuzzi, a large lawn, mature trees, a barn, and equestrian amenities are all included on the property. Howie Mandel once owned the home, which was up for sale for $3,099,000,000.
