Later, when Law Finance Group reviewed Giraldi’s records and discovered millions of dollars being transferred to an organization named EJ Global LLC – Erika’s entertainment corporation – it became concerned. According to reports, the total money transferred exceeded $20 million. The creditor filed a lawsuit, alleging that their monies were being used to support Tom and Erika’s lavish lifestyle. The claims were labeled “fraud” by Tom. They eventually came to an agreement.

Other creditors stepped forward, including a security firm hired to guard their Pasadena home, which sought $53,000, and Tom’s first wife, who claimed her $10,000 monthly alimony payments had stopped. One of Girardi’s clients — a guy who was burned in a PG&E pipeline explosion in 2010 – came out to say that he had not gotten millions of dollars owed to him as part of a settlement. Girardi agreed to pay the man $12 million in January 2020, but reportedly stopped paying after only $1 million. The family filed a lawsuit, claiming a $23 million lien on Girardi and Jayne’s assets.
