In December 2005, he made a contentious on-screen presence at the Armageddon pay-per-view. SmackDown! reporter Josh Mathews had an interview with a “despondent” White inside the Cumberland, Rhode Island, tavern he operated, the Friendly Tap. [3] He appeared to be intoxicated and stated that the aforementioned Hell in a Cell battle “ruined his life.” Then, off-screen, White pulled a shotgun out from under the bar and discharged it, seemingly with the intention of killing himself. He was interviewed by Mathews again that month; this time, he attempted suicide, but the rope snapped.
