Viktor Petrenko was was born in Odesa, Ukraine, on June 27, 1969. Although he was born in Ukraine, he grew up in Russia. Vasyl Petrenko and Tamara Petrenko are his parents. His father worked as an engineer, while his mother was a stay-at-home mother.

His father was an engineer, therefore he and his brother had the opportunity to practice as skaters and participate in other outdoor activities while under the influence of their father. However, both brothers developed skills in a variety of games, including Skater. They carried on their research with skaters.

He has not abandoned his career as a skater, but has instead chosen to pursue a career as a coach and currently a coach at the Simsbury, Connecticut-based International Skating Center (ISCC). He has been passing on his skating skills and techniques to the next generation.

In the year 1992, Vladimir Petrenko’s younger brother married Nina Melnik. After dating for a year, the lovely couple decided to marry each other. Nina is a professional dance choreographer. After seeing Petrenko skate for Ukraine’s national team Unified, she fell in love with him.

In their marriage, Olympic gold medalist Petrenko and his wife Nina have given birth to one daughter. In 1997, Victoria Petrenko was born to them. Despite their hectic schedules, they are enjoying life with their daughter.

Coach and Petrenko’s quarrel

Petrenko and Oskana Baiul, a well-known Ukrainian skater, had a spat with their coach Galina Zmievskaya. Baiul and Petrenko accused Galina of stealing their belongings and threatened to sue her in court for her uncivilized behavior.
