Heather filed for divorce from Wayde King on March 8, 2019, when their relationship was in its 22nd year, after she was arrested for domestic violence against Wayde. Heather was allegedly accused of slapping Wayde in the face during an argument.

When she kicked him in the stomach twice and dragged him into the car, the argument became heated. While the divorce hearing is still pending, the two are willing to share joint custody of their daughters following the divorce.
