After Jovit refused to rest and continued to perform for an event in Batangas City despite being in poor health, he was taken to the closest hospital. After three songs, he started having trouble breathing, and his situation deteriorated quickly. On December 3, 2022, he was given a hospital admission.

According to the results of his CT scan, a blood clot in his brain is an indication of an aneurysm. However, he did not have any problems with blood clots and passed away on December 9, 2022, at 4 a.m. At Batangas City’s Jesus of Nazareth Hospital, he passed away.
