Wil Willis Journey From Army Officer to Forged To Fire Show Host

Wil even attended the Basic Airborne School for training. He began his active duty duty in October 1993 as a member of the Army’s 3rd Ranger Battalion. Up until 1998, he spent nearly four and a half years working there.

Wil left the 3rd Army Ranger Battalion and trained with the 56th Rescue Squadron of the Air Force Para-rescue squad. The veteran spent the following ten years working for this task force, which is regarded as one of the hardest to work for. After assessing Wil’s achievement, the Sikorsky Rescue Award was given to him in 2001.

He was a member of the Rescue force, but he was also the Program Manager. After that, he went on to teach at Military Science and Technology, where he focused on teaching tactical trauma care. Despite serving as the Para Rescue Unit’s Regional Director of Operations, he left the service in 2008.

Wil attended acting school and worked as a TV presenter for Broken Lizard Production for a while despite being employed by the military post. 2009 saw him make his debut in the media with the Special Ops Mission and Triggers program. Up to 2013, the program aired for five seasons.

Wil joined History Channel to host the show “Forged in Fire” after acquiring experience. He leads a reality competition series in which four bladesmiths compete to forge different types of bladed weapons in a three-round elimination format.
