Abby Phillip

Abby Phillip, CNN’s very own, rose to prominence as a result of her coverage of the Trump administration for The Washington Post before moving to CNN in 2017.

She was once considered one of the most sought-after bachelorettes in the journalism scene, in addition to being one of the most popular voices of her generation.

All of that changed when she met the man of her dreams, breaking the hearts of her admirers in the process.

Her followers were subjected to the agony of watching her parade her fiance and then her husband on Instagram. She even put out pictures from her honeymoon, albeit unintentionally, to add insult to injury!

Intimate Wedding For Married Husband; “Engaged” Day As “The Best Day”

Abby Phillip, Imagine the anguish a fan feels upon learning of his or her idol’s engagement to another man, especially on social media. It only took an Instagram post from the former Washington Post reporter to cause a similar uproar among her followers.

While the rest of the world was celebrating Christmas, Abby and her husband, Marcus, were already planning their wedding after announcing their engagement via Instagram on December 27, 2016.

The photo of Abby and her husband, Marcus, dressed up for the holiday season was accompanied by a lengthy caption that read:

“We’ve decided to get married!! Yesterday was the most wonderful day of my life. Our teeny-tiny apartment was bursting at the seams with love, joy, and laughter. I’m so grateful that my family and Marcus’s mother were all able to spend Christmas with us. And I’m looking forward to spending the rest of my life with my best friend!”

Abby and her husband, Marcus Richardson, 37, also known as gizmont on Instagram, have a long history together. They started dating soon after meeting at a party thrown by a mutual friend in 2011.

Marcus, her husband, works as a managing director at nVisium in Herndon, Virginia, a company that specializes in web and mobile application security.

They had known each other for almost seven years at the time of their wedding. In May of 2018, the adoring couple tied the knot. Abby later announced the news on Instagram, where she shared a wedding photo with her husband.

Days in Quarantine for Abby Phillip

The pandemic has created a situation in which even family members must maintain a safe distance. Because of the threatening virus, Abby couldn’t even call her parents for dinner on special occasions like her birthday. She was with her husband and their dog, Booker T, for the entire day. This year, they had a low-key birthday with no celebrations. But Abby doesn’t mind because she prefers to keep things to herself. She also deserves some time to herself after a five-day election process.

In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and baking. Her other hobby is taking care of plants and gardening. It may appear monotonous, but she enjoys doing household chores. Aside from that, she enjoys reading books. She is currently reading Isabel Wilkerson’s Castle, and she considers her a role model. Gwen Ifill, whom she considers her idol, was a huge fan of hers as a child.

Every year, she makes it a point to wish her parents – specifically, her father – on special occasions. Because both Father’s Day and her mother’s birthday fall on the same day, June 19th has become a special occasion for her.
