In terms of his personal life, he married his wonderful wife Sydney Davis on April 4, 1998, and they have three daughters: Josephine, 21, Mary, 19, and Lille, 15. Regrettably, the couple announced their separation in September of 2017 and divorced two years later. Bush was unceremoniously sacked from the ‘Today Show’ after nearly a year of marriage. A videotape of then-“Apprentice” host Donald Trump bragging to Bush about groping women was released to “The Washington Post.” Mr. Trump was heard in the film talking about how he had failed to lure Bush’s then-co-host Nancy O’Dell. Bush spent the majority of the weekend in Los Angeles, focusing on ways to save his job at NBC’s “Today,” which had become mired in controversy due to his disrespectful tone on red carpet events and his lack of hard-news expertise. There was a lot of backlash online, and many on the right, left, and center demanded that he leave the show. Meanwhile, the Washington Post reported that Bush’s public image had been tarnished, probably irreversibly. He was 33 years old at the time the video was made. On the 9th of October 2016, NBC announced that Bush had been suspended from ‘Today’ due to his role in the 2005 video. He had already been sacked by the 17th of October. Bush later rejected the charge, claiming that their split was unrelated to the controversy, but admitting that it had a significant detrimental influence on his marriage.
