Billy Porter Brings Back a Dramatic Tuxedo Dress with a Pink Twist for the 2023 Golden Globes
Billy Porter wore a dress that made a statement when he walked the red carpet at the 2023 Golden Globe Awards on January 10 in Beverly Hills.
For the event, the actor wore a bright pink custom-made Christian Siriano tuxedo-overlay dress with a dramatic train. Porter wore the dress with a white tuxedo shirt and a rose-colored bow tie that went with the shirt. He wore big rings on both hands to finish off the look.
Siriano praised Porter and the dress in an Instagram post during tonight’s ceremony. He called the actor “The King.” Porter wore smoky eye shadow in a light purple color to match the color of the dress.
Porter and Siriano have worked together before to make dresses that make a statement and combine masculine tailoring with the drama of an evening gown. Porter made headlines in February 2019 when he walked the red carpet at the 91st Annual Academy Awards in a black tuxedo gown by Christian Siriano.

Porter broke the internet in this outfit, and she has also worn Siriano for other important occasions. Porter wore a fancy rainbow dress with a long train to the 2019 WorldPride NYC Parade. This was in honor of Pride Month.
Porter finished the last season of his hit show “Pose” in 2021. In 2022, he lent his voice to “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder,” a spin-off of “The Proud Family.”
At the Golden Globe Awards in 2023, great work in film and TV will be recognized. This year, Variety, which is also owned by WWD’s parent company PMC, is partnering with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association to put on the preshow. On January 10 in Los Angeles, actor and comedian Jerrod Carmichael is in charge of the event.
