On Saturday, the university will hold its fall semester commencement ceremony on campus, resulting in an influx of visitors to the northern Idaho town for graduation weekend. According to local station KTVB News, in response to these circumstances, local law enforcement will increase its presence at the ceremony and has advised people to take extra precautions while traveling in town.

Residents and visitors are urged to be extra cautious when traveling through town in order to spot anything suspicious. Local law enforcement urged people to always travel in groups to reduce the chances of something bad happening to them. Officials also urged people to communicate with friends and family before and after traveling so that someone knows they are safe.

Law enforcement has not yet named any suspects in the heinous quadruple murder. Tests on items found at the crime scene yielded no results that pointed to any specific suspects. After the investigation began looking for the owner of a white 2011-2013 Hyundai Elantra in connection with the case, law enforcement received a flood of tips.

The Moscow Police Department was contacted for comment by Newsweek.

Former FBI profiler Mary Ellen O’Toole previously told Newsweek that the killer may have had some prior knowledge of the off-campus home, given how quickly the killings appear to have occurred.

“When you murder four people, you’re going to get in and out pretty quickly, and so you have to have some knowledge of that place in order to do that and lower your own risk level,” she explained.
