Jacques Torres, also known as “Mr. Chocolate,” amassed his fortune as a master pastry chef who won numerous awards and authored two dessert books. Torres was born in June 1959 in Algiers, Algeria. Torres grew up in France and began working as an apprentice at a pastry shop when he was 15 years old. He then worked at Hotel Negresco while attending culinary school and becoming a Master Pastry Chef. In the mid-1980s, he taught pastry classes in Cannes. In 1986, he became the youngest person to win the Meilleur Ouvrier Patissier de France competition. In 1988, he relocated to the United States and was hired as the Corporate Pastry Chef for the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company.

She was unable to complete the task and complained that it was too hot, and she unknowingly passed him another scraper. However, he wanted her to find the ring, so he insisted on that specific one.

But she couldn’t, and when he finally put his hand in the bowl to get the ring, his face turned red and he screamed:

It’s been almost nine years since our favorite couple married, and we can still see so much passion and chemistry between them.

With each passing year, it appears that their love and support for each other grows stronger, which is why the couple has never filed for divorce.

On August 19, 2016, the couple gave birth to a son named Pierre Torres. Torres, his wife, and their adorable child are currently residing in New York City.

Jacques Torres’s Professional Career

At the age of 15, the master pastry chef began his apprenticeship, and three years later, in 1980, he landed his first job at the Le Negresco hotel in Nice.

He was named Meilleur Ouvrier de France at the age of 26. He moved to the United States and worked for the Ritz-Carlton. He also appeared with Jacques Torress in 52 episodes of ‘Dessert Circus.’

Finally, in 2000, he took the big step and opened his chocolate factory. He now owns nine stores as well as a chocolate factory. As a dean, he is also a well-known member of the International Culinary Center community (pastry arts).

Hasty Khoei’s Professional Career

Hasty owns a business in Beverly Hills and is popularly known as Madame Chocolat. According to the website, the company has now relocated to New York.

Hasty Khoei/Torres attended USC to pursue a business degree. She had been in France for six years at the time, and chocolate was not part of her career plans.

She then went to New York, where she met her future husband and studied with Jacques for a year to learn.

She later decided to start her own business in Los Angeles. In 2006, she opened the Madame Chocolatier chocolate boutique, which took her nearly nine months to establish.

She claims she has loved chocolate since she was a child. On Halloween, she and her brother Johnny enjoyed going door-to-door for chocolates and candies. She stated in an interview,

“I can’t wait to start a family and have our own little bonbons and truffles. I have a feeling our house will become a popular “hang out” for our kids and their friends one day.”
